Attractive gardens with a patio area, built-in barbecue, shrubs and flowers are popular with many residents. Residents can relax in several lounge areas. Raglan House is centrally heated throughout, providing maximum comfort.
Fresh food & special diet
Experienced catering staff ensures that a varied menu of freshly prepared food is available daily, served in the pleasant dining room area. Special dietary needs are met. We also specialise in Asian and Afro Caribbean food and other cultural diets.
Our nurshing care & staffs
Experienced nurses in elderly care on duty 24 hours a day supported by care assistants carefully chosen for their genuine, caring and understanding ability. Further training within and outside the home is ongoing.
Our family environment
Visitors are encouraged at any reasonable time as in your own home. Children are very welcome making an extended happy and loving family. Friends and relatives are invited to participate in our many social occasions. Regular outings are arranged where relatives and friends are welcome. Residents are encouraged to join in our daily-organised activities. Raglan House has its own minibus, which is fully equipped to ensure care of transport.
Your bedroom
Bedrooms on the ground and first floors are tastefully furnished with fitted carpets, washbasins and nurse call system. Single and companion rooms are available, some with en-suite facilities (passenger lift to first floor). Residents may bring items of their own furniture, pictures, ornaments and those special things that mean so much.
Other Services
Other services available include regular visits by a hairdresser, chiropodist, dentist, optician and various members of the clergy. Newspapers are delivered on request daily and the mobile library visits once a month. A personal laundry service is provided on the premises and articles of clothing can be professionally drycleaned. Some residents can retain their own doctors, but if this is not practical, they can be registered with a local G.P.
